DIVINFOOD

Reintroduction of neglected- and underutilized crops to short supply chains

DIVINFOOD is a Horizon2020 project that examines the role of neglected- and underutilized crops – primarily legumes and ancient grains – in seven European countries. The aim of the project is to reintroduce these crops into cultivation and everyday diets by establishing short- and mid-tier supply chains, thereby increasing agrobiodiversity.

As part of the initiative, consumer surveys, propagation and cultivation experiments, recipe and product development, and research on marketing strategies are being conducted. Agri Kulti is the leader of the work package responsible for consumer surveys in the project, as well as the coordinator of the Legumes Hungary Living lab, which aims to model the entire value chain for different legume varieties.

The five-year program was launched in 2022.
